Emporium Vernesque

About a year ago I was contacted about a burlesque performance at a new dutch steampunk event, Emporium Vernesque. Last weekend emporium proved steampunk is alive and kicking in the Lowlands! what a party! The crowd was amazing, everyone looked their absolute best. There were a number of fantastic shops present, workshops, contests and a couple of amazing performances. I was (un)lucky enough to share a dressing room with one of my favourite bands, Ball Noir. However, it was lots of fun and the organisation really made an effort for all the performers as well with good food and good vibes backstage. Of course, burlesque isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I was surprised by the enthousiasme before and after my show by the (hardcore steampunk) visitors. If there’s going to be another edition of this innovative take on steampunk events I am absolutely there! and I suggest you will as well ;)

My costume was a matter of roaming flea markets and textile shops, the bustle was a loan from the fantastic Gwen from Ghost of a Gipsy

Here’s a TINY clip one of the visitors made of the finale of my steamlesque routine.

and some images of course.

what’s new!

I’m ashamed of the amount of time (months!) since my last update here, there is quite a lot to be added to the page.

We were able to shoot the epic concept after all, and what a massive project that was! I’ve never seen so many people gathered and busy with ‘just’ a photoshoot, it was amazing! and such a lovely day. The images are turning out awesome as well, but they need to be published before I can share them. for now some behind the scenes pics to give an impression!

On another note, two videos have been released this summer in which I’ve played. Since I’ve done other videos before I’ve decided to let them have their own page, which you can find here.

The Pop Killer video was one long day of slaving away in gorgeous latex and (very uncomfy) high heels. We got a speedy swordfight training in the morning and the rest of the day was shooting the actual clip. This is where I met the rawcool guys from Noorderwind who are also starring in the epic photoshoot above. They taught us the moves and played the bad guys. nice! The video was shot and produced by Ayden Dark from Domina productions and the wardrobe was by Brigitte More from Lovely Latex. co-models: Lotte Groeneweg, Rachael V and Yolinda Vixen.

We’ve also been published in one of the coolest gender magazines out there! Et Alors? did a free edition for the Amsterdam Gay Pride, and we were lucky to be a part of it.

I seem to get booked together with Yolinda quite often, which I completely understand, we’re more of less the same shape and size, one blonde, one dark haired and we get along very well! it’s always so much fun working with her! you can find the full (NSFW!) serie here

and I’ve added a few new series as well, which you can find here:

Long overdue update, All sorts of things were going on. I did a burlesque show at Tandwieltje with amazing wardrobe by Rosie’s Art, I haven’t got any good pictures just yet unfortunately, but it kicked ass. I shot with I.C.E. Motion for a Playboy contest, although we didn’t win, I’m very pleased with the outcome of this serie. have a look here

I also shot for Reggy van Gils from Pierot Haute Coiffure with fantastic photographer Astrid van Sterkenburg, who made this portrait:

There are plenty of great projects coming up, one this weekend, which sort of made me miss Fetish Evolution this year, but I heard they’re having a fall edition as well, which could be very cool. I hope the weathergods are being kind to us coming monday, we’ve planned a massive shoot with an enormous crew and fantastic set. I’m working hard on making some props and wardrobe, I’ve already accidentally sewn the skirt I’m making to my tight two times, but it’s going to be worth it.

also, my face is in the latest Marquis issue :]

Potentia magazine

I’m on the cover of the first issue of Potentia magazine!!

Shooting this was so much fun! fabulous art-directing by Femke van Hilten (potentia mag) Photography by Hanneke Meier and make-up by  In Your Face. the moustache was quite a challenge to get it stick, I’m so glad the entire team helped out with that issue ;) I’m very happy with the end result!

Apart from the cover there will also be some beautiful images published I shot with Jenny Boot earlier this year, but I haven’t seen the actual magazine yet, so I’ll post those later.
